In the month of February 2025, the iconic restaurant Newcomb's Ranch that sits on Angeles Crest Highway was vandalized twice within one week.
The scene was a horrible sight to see. Every single window was shattered, pounds of glass everywhere, the kitchen was trashed with thrown plates, the pool table was flipped upside down, chairs were thrown across rooms, sinks were broken, and old food spices were thrown around the floor. The first on the scene were none other than our very own motorcycle community. Outrage sparked immediately and we made the first out reach asking for help.
On February 18th, we made a Instagram flyer asking people to help clean the place and bring equipment if they could. The response was bigger than what we imagined. The day of the repair day, we met people of all walks of life. Folks who ride, who hike, who drive, and people who have cherished Newcomb's for years. It truly was an honor to see a community come together and restore a place that sits so close to home for some of us.
The crew spent all day cleaning up glass, tearing apart the old window frames, and tyding the place up. So much hard work was put into bringing Newcomb's to a more stable condition. Huge thanks to everyone who showed love to the ranch.
At the end, we finally got in contact with the owner, Freddy, and he broke into tears. This place was passed down through family generations since the 1940's. He was amazed by the community and couldn't thank us enough. Now Newcomb's is still standing better than ever and our love for this place got stronger.
When the place ever reopens, make sure to share extra love to the establishment :)
